Wastewater Utility

The City of Hoisington Wastewater Department operates two lifts stations that are located within the City limits of Hoisington, one lift station that is located just outside of the City limits and 3 lagoons covering approximately 38 acres. The City recently added a six acre wetland cell to enhance and improve the treatment process.

This department maintains approximately 20 miles of sewer line. A Vac-truck owned by the City of Hoisington assist this department by cleaning storm sewer catch basins, sewer man holes, and locating underground water, gas and electrical lines.
